Being a small area, we needed to maximise the use of each component of this inner city backyard. The recycled timber planter boxes not only give visual interest but also add instant height to screen planting and provide informal seating. The paving is a random sandstone which contrasts the Ironbark sleepers. A tank behind the cedar garden shed collects rainwater for the vegetable patch. The pergola and timber deck adds an undercover area for barbeques and provides an extra sitting area.
